Panic! at the DiskHo

Someone you might not quite have expected is coming to town tomorrow.  Someone whose presence at a table during a family dinner can spoil the vibe.  A dark, menacing individual whose twisted spirit is projected in his techno songs.  THE man behind such insane projects as Très Demented or Demon Days is going to appear at Stereo; his name is Carl Craig and he's one of the driving forces behind Detroit's early 90's second wave of techno.

To call him a "legend" is not over-rating the man; he is a radically lethal remixing machine, making every song he touches his own, with his infamous jazzy touch and deadly basslines.  His latest victims ?  Junior Boys, Faze Action, Amp Fiddler, Brazilian Girls, Lazy Fat People, Theo Parrish...  His label, Planet E, has been home to artists such as Moodymann, Kevin Saunderson, Recloose, Alton Miller, E-Dancer and the Innerzone Orchestra, to name only a few.  He is one of those producers who turns everything he touches into gold.

On Friday, June 1st, in the midst of a crazy Mutek festival, Carl Craig touches down with his partner-in-crime Gamall, and both guys will deliver the memorable Demon Days experience to the lucky few 500 persons able to fit in Stereo.  Montreal's own funky don Mossa opens, and the party is the launch of DiskHo's new series of afterhours events called Hi-Tek.
