Night Vision 2.17

It's gettin' hot in here...

And yes, there's tons of stuff to do to make the best out of this suddenly very friendly warmth. I honestly have never seen so many skirts walking the streets of Montreal, and besides the bike accident risk I'm running by staring at them with a gaped mouth while rollin', I don't have anything negative to say about it.

But let's skip the usual chit chat and head straight to the meat, yes ?

News en vrac

June 19th, at Club Soda, the Shiny Toy Guns are shakin' it up. Those of you who like "Le Disko" will be served hot beats on a leather plate.

Piknic Électronik has officially announced its schedule for the whole summer, something that will run from May 20th to September 30th. That's a bit more than four months of total weekly bliss. Some notable names include James Holden and Marc Romboy ! Of course, there are still some surprises waiting in the dark, and if you watch this space closely over the summer you'll learn all about it.

11/05

The last RaveMontreal event will take place tonight at Stereo, in the wee hours of the morning, with an extended set by Creator and Vega & The Autist in a infamous tag team. The Dirty night at Stereobar serves as a pre-party, with DJs Maus, X-Cube and Jeff Fontaine preppin' the peeps.

At Le Social, the Loose Joint night welcomes Ottawa's DJ Plush, a wicked lil' lady that'll push housey breaks and breakey house in your ears. Always free, always nice.

Dirty Bird recording artist Justin Martin pays a visit to Academy and to the ever-lovely Mightykat at her Diskfunction night. Fidget house, quality beats and good people are rumoured to attend.

One word's on everybody's lips : TURBO. Dirty beats and party monsters are waiting for you tonight at Musée Juste Pour Rire. In fact, if you're brilliant, you have already read our feature article & interview with Thomas Von Party. If not, scroll down, mofo's. Chances are The Proxy might not get his visa to get here, but that still leaves us with enough weapons of massive eardrum destruction to please everybody.

12/05

The big thing is the Peaches / Les Georges Leningrad / Lesbians on Ecstasy etc party at S.A.T., but the only place I've seen it advertised is in the Ici. And nothing else matters. Didn't hear about it before or anything. So if you go there and find a closed door, don't blame me, blame the promoter's sucky promo.

At Mile End Bar, you can also find sonic delights as Vega battles Bender for a five hours tag team.

13/05

What's a clubber to do on Sunday the 13th ? Well, pay a visit to Sunday Luv at her new night, Bite my Style, of course ! Second week at Le Social sees sonic terrorists Mutante, Pornorobo, Moebius, Trash da Disco and Alakazoo assault the turntables. All this for FREE.

Monsieur Scott does Beat me Up at Saphir, with residents Mary Hell & Cherry Cola.

15/05

At the newly joint Dizzy / Telephunk night, Mightykat welcomes Akufen for a vertiginous night of serious funk.

16/05

Fedde le Grand does Opera. Put your hands up for silicone & expensive drinks !

Next week

Kenny Glasgow ! Vedrenn ! Jesse Rose ! Bad Boy Bill ! Danny Howells ! The mighty return of Piknic Électronik ! The Pope resigns !

Until then, keep the pedal to the metal !
