Jordan Dare @ Parking

Last Thursday's Overdose night at Parking marked the return of Neon resident Jordan Dare to the Amherst street venue's sweaty electro weekly.

Sean Kosa recently dubbed Jordan Dare "The Prince of Darkness" in a radio interview, a label that fits him well since he regularly sets dancefloors on fire, turning them into Dante-worthy infernos. Well, last Thursday was no different and while he's not quite done with the disco-punk yet, it does look like he's pulled some major electro hitters back into his set.

It was quite a nice surprise to hear Xenia Beliayeva's "Prototype" follow The Hacker's "Flesh & Bone". The Futurehead's underplayed "Hounds of Love" concluded my very nice evening at Parking, burying the cold season's morose atmosphere with it and ushering in the week-end of insane clubbing that comes every Easter.
