Vega's January 2007 Chart
Montreal nights host a lot of stars, but few ever get to shine as brightly as Vega.
Darting like lightning through the dark skies, Vega rapidly established himself as a DJ that could not be denied. He confirmed his status with residencies at Sona and Circus, and by his involvement in the Refuge Electronik collective. Later, he would find a home at Stereo, where he would participate in the landmark after-hours happenings Quattrophonic, with his pals Eloi Brunelle, Lebaron & The Autist.
Of course, his contribution to the well respected Tistik events could not go unnoticed, as was his appearance at Picnik Électronik last summer.
Currently, Vega can be regularly heard at Stereobar as a regular guest of Bender's No Excuse Sunday nights and with Saturnin for the Carrousel monthly.
But what about the music?
Vega's electro tech-house selection can be deep and hypnotic at times, yet always manages to hook you with that punchy track you didn't yet know you absolutely needed to hear right at that precise moment. His musical picks have that clever underground chic that allows him to reach a wide audience that ranges from the occasional partygoer to the most demanding dance music connoisseur.
Let's just say that if you're out to have a good time and dance, then Vega's always a sure bet.
Vega began the year with a bang, blowing away the crowd in a tag team set with Bender that set the lower chamber of Bain Mathieu on fire, even going as far as stealing the show from the main room.
The stuff of legends?
Well, we'll see, but right now his star is definitely set to "shine".

I've been digging that Anja Shneider / Sebo K track forever. Now if only I could get my hands on that Tom Clark . . .
