Night Vision 2.02

If you're not suffering from frostbite yet, you might want to consider a few options before going out this week-end. You know that the fine folks behind Mirrorballs & Mirrorshades are always there to help you.

Intoxication has never been the sole solution, but it's always one to consider. Drinking large quantities of alcohol will not only help you save money at the bar, but it will also numb you from the cold, making it easier - and much more fun - to walk to any destination you might fancy.

Let's get the ball rollin'.

News en vrac

Sad things happen sometimes. The F.A.M.E. launch party has been cancelled due to irritating reasons we might discuss in the near future. It has been postponed until further notice. Stay tuned !

There's a new monthly happening at Vinyl on some Saturdays, called "Nu Ravers on the Block". We like the name. The organisers promise new rave, electro & party rock, and lots of fluo outfits. The launch will feature NROTB and the red-headed, Justin Timberlake lookalike, hot-blooded & chicks magnet Marinelli. How glow can U go ?

DiskHo strikes again : on May 19th, at Main Hall, a very private party will happen with The Bald & the Beautiful (from Boston, signed to Dirty Bird Records), Mossa & fuckin' Jesse Rose. Just say yes.

Thursday 18/01

It would seem very reasonable to head down to Sahpir tonight, folks. With a saliva-inducing musical menu, and cheap booze, it's safe to say we've got ourselves a winner. Featuring tag teams & savage street fighting, the night proposes Davey Delphi Vs Spacekadet, Omni Vs Axel Klein, and Sarcastic Vs Sean Kosa.

Over at Les Pas-Sages, on Rachel St, Fancy Fhreek & his pal Diagraf welcome Jan Pienkowsky for some more minimal delights with a drunk-friendly crowd.

Friday 19/01

Of course, if you like your balls to shrink the size of walnuts - and let's not mention your wiener here - there's the Igloofest going on, out there, in the minus territories of the Old Port's Quai Jacques-Cartier. Ninja Tune battle Bounce le Gros in a savage snowballs death match. Featuring DJ Food, Ghislain Poirier, Ghost Beard, Luv, and Strictly Kev.

Yet another new monthly launches over at Centre Fractal, which means that, yes, it will last all night. Called Bazooka - yes, the promoter knows there's another party in Québec City with the same name - it will feature residents G O'Brien and Dark Alakazoo, and their first guest is the savage queen herself, Mz Sunday Luv.

Over at Stereobar, Caroussel features Vega & Saturnin. Tech-house delights await.

At Academy, Eresys teams up with the Diskfunction crew and throw a big hoe-down featuring Kasteniede, Joystick, Mightykat & Mono-Poly. Minimal is the name, dancin' the night away is the game.

Saturday 20/01

The Igloofest continues with yet another iced dancefloor. The DJ's are Nôze, from France, and Mini, Mossa & Slim Jim.

Bender welcomes Arsen at Mile End Bar for another big Noctambules party that promises to be sick, sick, sick. Bender will play a couple of his new productions, as well as the latest burnin' hot tracks that his German friends made. Arsen will burn a hole in the floor with his most effective tech-house. Get a free guest list at Noctambules.tv !!

Sunday 21/01

No Excuse kicks off the week on a high note with Romeo Kardec & Sean Kosa. You can expect a lot more from these two guys in the near future, and if you don't know how to light a fire, they'll teach ya.

Tuesday 23/01

Maüs takes her monthly residency at Salon Daomé and that promises to be real sweet. Nathan Burns also rocks the decks. Make sure you bring a warm smile along, because the Microzoo bunch are like a (fun) family.

If you're into groupies, cougars & soft rock amateurs, head over to Opera as fuckin' Tommy Lee will DJ (you read right) after his Rock Star Supercrapola show. Assholes, silicone & attitude can't be left at the door, unfortunately.

Next week

Not much going on, but that's good timing : you'll need some rest before another crazy-ass february kicks in.

Until then, keep them bottles empty !
