Montreal, Friday January 12, 2007 - Following in the footsteps of 2006's Extend The Week-End weekly, the Mirrorballs.ca family returns to Academy Club this year with a new series of events.

F.A.M.E., a new monthly happening, aims to bring back that all-too-familiar dysfunctional family feeling that only drunken stupor and dirty dancing can generate to the Plateau's Thursday nights.

The launch festivities are set to take place on Thursday January 18, with DJs Maus, Jason Pelletier and Clifford Brown, who will shake Academy Club (4445 St-Laurent) down to its very foundations with their terrific tech-house beats!

Mark your calendar: this one's gonna be a classic!

-Maus (Montreal, Qc) – 1:30am to 3am

Her name will undoubtedly ring lots of bells to most Montreal veteran clubbers… but have you heard her lately? While you were away, Maus refined her own personal blend of tech-house, comprised of an always sophisticated & unexpected assortment of tracks. Maus always keeps a sharp focus on a single thing: making you dance like you never thought you could, a prize that should be incentive enough for anyone to come and enjoy her sets.

-Jason Pelletier (Ottawa, On) – 12:00pm to 1:30am

Straight outta Moncton, this crazy record spinner named Pelletier moved to Montréal in '94 shortly after he began his DJ career. He played in several local clubs and bars before moving to Ottawa in 2001. There, he would further establish his funky house sound during the course of several residencies. Currently, Jason Pelletier can be heard regularly at the succesful Techcetera monthly.

Late last year, Mirrorballs.ca also began promoting its own nights and events, welcoming local and international electro & tech-house DJs & producers, including Jordan Dare, Paul Kalkbrenner, Plastique de Rêve & Sean Kosa.

With F.A.M.E., Mirror Balls & Mirror Shades begins what will hopefully become a new Thursday night tradition.
